The newly-merged institution retained the name of Gadsden State Community College, Gadsden, AL, and retained the initial accreditation date of 01/01/1968.
06/19/2003 – Gadsden State Community College, Gadsden, AL (accredited by SACSCOC in 1968), merged with Ayers State Technical College, Anniston, AL (accredited by SACSCOC in 1997). The newly-merged institution retained the name of Gadsden State Community College, Gadsden, AL.
